Poor, Sick Baby

Emma had her first trip to the ER today. She woke up this morning really cranky & spent most of the morning & afternoon screaming & not wanting to eat. We took her to the ER & when we saw the triage nurse, after only waiting 15 minutes, she told the other nurse that Emma needed to be expedited to the top of the list. She could tell that her ears hurt, so she didn't want her to have to wait. We went back to the waiting room, expecting to still have to wait for at least awhile. We hadn't even sat all the way in our chairs & the nurse told us not to get comfortable because she was taking us back. This made us so relieved because the last thing we wanted to do was sit in the ER for hours with a sick, screaming baby. The Dr saw us right away & said that her right ear was red. He called the consulting Pediatrician & she told him not to give her antibiotics since her ear wasn't super red & there wasn't any discharge. They want to see if her body fights it off by itself. So, we went home after only being there for a little over an hour. I think that is a world record for the shortest visit to the ER:) Thank you Jesus!
