I had my ultrasound this morning to find our what we are having. Drum roll please.................. IT'S A GIRL!! And she wasn't shy about letting us know either :) Her name is Emma Lorraine Reems. She is currently 7oz & about 7" long. I've attached some pictures. They scanned kinda fuzzy but you can still make her out.

Look At Me!!

Hi Dad!!

I had another Dr's appointment today. My Dr. tried finding the baby's heartbeat but was having trouble due to the baby's position. She brought in a smaller ultrasound machine & we got to see the baby for the first time. It was so awesome. When she started pointing out different parts of the baby's body to Gary, the baby raised it's arm & "waved" at Gary. It was so cute! It was like the baby knew we were looking at him/her. 

It looks like we will have our ultrasound appointment to find out the sex of the baby the week of July 7th.

In Awe!

Gary & I went to the Dr's yesterday for my monthly visit. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. I think that's when it really became real that we are having a baby. Gary sat there with a look of awe and amazement. I was equally moved. It's amazing to think that at such a young age our baby already has a perfect little heartbeat. God truly amazes me!

I've been feeling pretty good this past week. Still pretty tired but the nausea has pretty much subsided, except for at night when I'm overly tired.

I'm soooo tired!!!!

Ok everyone out in bloggerland, I need your help!!! I'm having a horrible time sleeping at night! Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas that helped you? I know that this is going to get worse by the end (and after the baby comes :) ) but I need to know if there is something I can do to get better sleep. My Dr. suggested taking Tylenol PM... I have pregnancy brain right now so of course I forgot to pick some up when I was at Target tonight, even after walking right by the medicine aisle! UGHHHH!!! It also doesn't help my sleep pattern that I'm getting up at least once or twice to go to the bathroom! 

I'm looking forward to some tips from you all! Like things I can do before going to bed, maybe??????

And so it continues.....

I'm pretty much nauseous every day now! The late evening & first thing in the morning seem to be the worst times. I'm also noticing that certain foods smell really good one day & the very next day they make we want to be sick. I just keep telling myself that this is normal, that it could be much worse & that it will be over soon :)

Morning Sickness!!!!!!

Well, the dreaded morning sickness has decided to kick in! I felt pretty yucky yesterday. Today was a pretty good day, though. I'm hoping that this is the worst it gets!

Everything Looks GREEEEEEEEEEAT!!

I went to the Dr today & everything looks great! I have another appointment in 4 weeks. They will be doing my first ultrasound so Gary & I will be able to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time! Then, 4 weeks after that, we will have another ultrasound where they will be able to tell us if the baby is a boy or girl. We are going back & forth on whether or not to find out what the baby is beforehand.... I guess we have 8 weeks to decide, so hopefully by then we will know what we want to do.

So far I haven't had any morning sickness, so please be praying that it will stay that way :)

It's Appointment Time

I received a call from the OB today. I have an appointment on Tuesday morning at 11am. They told me that normally I would have had to wait about a month to get an appointment but they had a cancelation this afternoon for Tuesday & were able to get me in! I'm excited to hear what the OB has to say. 

Gary & I went bowling tonight with our friends Ed & Jen. Now is the time to get in our date's before the baby arrives :)

We have a due date!

I got a call from the Dr. today & it looks like my assumptions were right. I'm about 6 1/2 weeks along which would put my due date at November 30th. Please pray with us that I would have a healthy pregnancy & baby! God is so good & I know He's in control!

We're Pregnant!!!

Gary & I found out today that we are going to be parents! We are so excited! They took a blood test today to see how far along I am. I should know the results tomorrow. I'l post more soon!
